| The neck region includes all the cervical vertebra from C1 to C7 as well as all the soft tissue structures surrounding them. Pain in this region can refer outside of this area and patients often complain of pain on either side of the vertebra within the paraspinal muscles and into the head. |

| Symptoms include; swelling, heat, aches, sharp pinching pain. Symptoms can radiate into the head and down the arms. Causes are varied and include; mechanical type dysfunction, discogenic dysfunction or musculo-skeletal. |
