Comprehensive Treatment of Joint Dysfunction with Manual Therapy: for Painful Pre & Post Surgical, Inflamed & Infected Joints

This 2-day course will present manual therapy techniques to affect severe and chronic joint inflammation and infection. These techniques can be used for any joint dysfunction. This approach is especially effective for hips, knees and shoulders in order to reduced inflammation and/or infection. Accelerated healing, including post surgical recovery is achieved with these techniques.  Recovery is presented as reduced swelling, improved temperature, increased strength and improved ranges of motion. The techniques can be incorporated into any rehabilitation program, in any clinical setting. Functional outcomes for activities of daily living will be immediate. These techniques are effective with total knee and total hip surgeries, as well as other surgical interventions.

Jennifer M. Lewin, L.Ac.(USA), MAOM, IMT, C. is a licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist (USA) and Certified Integrative Manual Therapist. Jennifer holds a Master Degree in Acupuncture &  Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture in  Boston, USA. Jennifer has been practicing Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) since 1997, in both the US and Hong Kong. In addition to completing a certification in IMT at the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy, Jennifer spent several years training under the direct mentorship of Dr. Sharon Weiselfish-Giammatteo, the founder of IMT.  Jennifer  currently lives in Hong Kong and practices out of Balance Health. Jennifer is also teaching faculty for Dialogues in Contemporary Rehabilitation (DCR) and the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy (CSIMT), where she teaches IMT seminars  both in the US and Hong Kong.
