Herman Yuen is a registered Chinese medicine practitioner of the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong (007173). Since 2008, he has been learning and doing research in medicine, graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University, he accepted formal training in medicine, for to have a common system diagnosis and treatment. Following the principle of "進與病謀，退與心謀", Herman Yuen regards each patient’s stance toward their health and well-being very seriously. During the consultation, he will focus on carefully diagnosing and controlling the specific condition you are having and guide your through the treatment course. After treatment, the results will offer Dr. Herman Yuen better insights into what your body really needs to offer you a more effective therapeutic outcome.
In addition to herbal medicine and acupuncture, Herman Yuen also specializes in massage that he learned during his intensive apprenticeship of the renowned physician Zhang Jianguo (male) where he learned a variety of soft and gentle massage techniques. Through his extensive expertise in different treatment methods, Herman Yuen is able to effectively treat common pains, muscle strains and general internal diseases. Furthermore, his invaluable experience at the Guangdong Provincial Hospital taught him how to carefully diagnosis and treat children with Chinese medicine. Having worked alongside with Chen Honglei, MD (female) he learned how to communicate with children and the parents. Combined with being observant and focused, Herman gained considerable experience to use pediatric massage to treat pediatric respiratory disorders, digestive system diseases.
With his caring heart, he found his passion to help people, especially patients troubled by pain.
Herman Yuen was born in a traditional Chinese family where he studied with his grandfather "benevolence" as the core of Confucianism. As a consequence, with his caring heart, he found his passion to help people, especially patients troubled by pain. Without the slightest worry about the difficulties he might face, carrying his great enthusiasm and courage, Herman Yuen gave up his opportunities at local clinics and went to remote villages in the Philippines for a period of six months to teach acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Along with the help of other practitioners, he was able to achieve amazing success to teach seven students and establish local acupuncture clinics that provide diagnosis and treatment for local residents to ease their pain or treat their disease. Additionally, he visited the Thai-Myanmar border, Cambodia and other places clinic, as he is convinced that as a practitioner, you do not only "care about your patients"; but more importantly, we embrace our passion to treat the person to cure the heart.
