Physiotherapy – is concerned with the enhancement of mobility and quality of life through the assessment of joint, muscle and nerve disorder.

The principle of Physiotherapy is the treatment of disease, injury or weakness to the joints, muscles or nervous system, which might be impacting on a patient's level of physical function, aimed to assist patients gain as much movement and physical independence as possible.

Using clinical expertise with evidence-based research Physiotherapists are trained to assess the underlying causes of joint, muscle and nerve disorder, educate patients about managing their condition, and advise ways to prevent pain and injury.

Fundamental to a physiotherapists' approach is an appreciation of the patient's role in their own care, how to manage their condition and ways to prevent pain and injury. Often, a personal home program is prescribed for rehabilitation.
