L. Anne Hilty, PhD, is an health psychologist and therapist, practicing Integrative Psychotherapy through the use of transpersonal, somatic, and cognitive-behavioral methods for a strengths-based approach. She specializes in Consciousness and the Mind-Body Connection. In her New York clinic (1989-2004), Dr Hilty also practiced Acupuncture, medical Massage, nutrition, and a variety of other modalities including Craniosacral Therapy, Core Zero Balancing, Reflexology, Shiatsu, and Reiki, in addition to counseling. This strong history in the somato-energetic disciplines informs her psychotherapy practice for a unique and comprehensive approach. Most recently, Dr Hilty lived and worked in Korea (2005-2009), during which time she further developed her integration of Eastern and Western approaches to health. Having begun work as a nurse's aide in 1980, Dr Hilty has been in various aspects of the healthcare field for 30 years. She is also an adjunct professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Dr Hilty works with adults and adolescents to address a wide spectrum of concerns. [See "Integrative Psychotherapy" page for details.] She sees clients for a one-time consultation, in which she assesses emotional, mental, and/or behavioral influences on health; she also works with clients over multiple sessions in order to assist them in the achievement of their health goals and a return to a state of balance. Dr Hilty tailors her treatment approach to each individual and strongly believes that health is full-spectrum -- mind, body, and spirit -- so that, while imbalance may manifest in only one of these areas, an integrated approach is necessary in order to achieve optimal well-being. Ultimately, she serves as a guide to her clients' self-healing process.
"Dr. Hilty's treatment Philosophy focuses on the balance of mind and body, and the integration of Eastern and Western models of health."

"We were regularly treated by Dr. Hilty for several months and it was the best thing we ever did for ourselves. Dr. Hilty made it possible for us to be real with her, be thoroughly understood and totally accepted. Her ethics were impeccable and her skills were so helpful that each of us felt hopeful right away and soon began to improve. In each of our cases, our personal power grew stronger than our problems, resolved old issues, felt happier and more confident and we were back on track in our lives 100%."
